So tell me, Meagen. Apples are expensive as all get-out, but you're getting what you pay for, right? I've been considering switching over whenever this laptop decides to croak. I'd also like to replace my server with a Mac Mini.
I beg to differ! Give me PC or give me death!! The only reason why mac's are any good now is because they are actually Linux! But I still love you Megs@!
I have converted to the dark side...literally, and love my Darth Vader version black mac. It was the customer service that hooked me. My PC crashed and it took 3 months to get it back and now it is sooo slow. My buddy's mac crashed and he had it back in 24 hours, they didn't charge him a thing and it runs better than ever. Couldn't be without a computer for that 3 months during the MBA program (computers are life) and so bought a mac after I saw how Mac treated him. I am cheap so it was hard for me, but...best decision ever.
I love my mac so much that sometimes I sleep with it at night.
Actually, Mac OS is Unix (actually, it's just based on a Unix implementation, but does include Unix source code), not Linux. At any rate, aside from hardware the only real difference between any two computers is the operating systems. And Unix, despite its age (originally created in 1969), is still considered one of the most superior operating systems out there.
How different the world would be had Microsoft, instead of buying DOS, had just created MS BSD. But they didn't. I'm surprised it took this long for either company to finally come to their senses and start using Unix.
I've never owned a Mac, primarily because I'm a gamer. But I can honestly say that Macs are superior because I know that Unix kicks the heiney of any other operating system.
And no, I'm not a geek. Okay... maybe a little. More like a wannabe.

Oh yes. I won't buy a PC EVER again. Mac are soo far superior and worth every single penny extra. I wish Apple made cars. And cameras.
