#2 - The Last Movie I Saw - Ted

Challenge prompt: What was the last movie you saw in the theaters?

The last movie I saw in the theaters was Ted. I went with Holli and it was hilarious! We were the only people in the theater so I think that made it even funnier. I love me some Mark Wahlburg! Ted had a few parts that were a little stupid, but I laughed my ass off most of the movie.

We've watched a handful of new movies since she's been here. It's nice to have a movie buddy. We also saw Magic Mike in the theater the day before going to Ted. Magic Mike was realllly good. The dancing in it was amazing! We rented 21 Jump Street (hilarious), Friends With Kids (good until the end), Man On A Ledge (suspensful) and Wanderlust (haven't watched yet) from Red Box.

I want to save my blog from extinction. So I'm doing a 30 day challenge. I'll answer one of these prompts each day.

California Trip

I ran away from Utah for about two weeks and it was a very much needed trip. I rode Amtrak from Provo to Roseville and it was awesome. The train is huge! The seats are enormous and recline all the way back, it was nice and cool, quiet, and there are outlets to plug in all my shit. So I watched Sopranos for a few hours and then took two Ambien and slept really well and when I woke up I was there! AND I got to cross it off on my Things to Do Before I Die list - which is cool since I haven't been able to do that in a while.

So I went to Cali and stayed with my Mom. We laid by the pool and relaxed. She took me to a few cool stores and we went to the Galleria Mall for a few hours. I also got a tour of a local firehouse from my Mom's friend. It was really cool to see the ins and outs there. I had two dinners at my Grandparents and we figured out I haven't been there in 13 years. We went fishing/boating one morning and I made friends with this little duck. I fed him a few rolls and he'd just follow us around.
I also got to spend some time with Madi, Brady, and my nephew Kelvin. I loved seeing them! Kelvin has grown so much since I last saw him. He is just the sweetest little boy, I wanted to bring him home with me! Kelvin sat in my sleeping spot with me for like 3 hours one day, just hanging out watching United States of Tara. Seriously, he's the coolest kid EVER. I mean really, look at that face.
The last night I was there we went to the theater and saw Iron Man 2. I really liked it! Except I think something was wrong with their AC because I was melting in the theater. Ugh. After the show we went to eat at the Elephant Bar. It was pretty good, I've never been there and their menu is huge!

The train ride back was not as enjoyable as getting there. We were stopped outside of Elko, NV for almost 3 hours and that made me arrive into Provo almost 6 hours later than anticipated. It made for a very, very long ride. Luckily I had some shows (Sopranos, Grey's, Breaking Bad) and a good book to keep me occupied. I hope to make it back out to California soon. Maybe in the fall for my birthday! YAY!

Emile Hirsch

I have a big fat crush on Emile Hirsch. He he! It was a little crush when I saw The Girl Next Door. Then it was a bigger crush when I saw Into the Wild, and now it's a big fat crush because I just watched Alpha Dog again. I recommend everyone see all of them.

Update

I've looked at my blog several times the last few days and each time I do my last post bugs me and I think, I need something new, that one is a bit Depressed-Debbie, and then I close the window and go about my day. Well I can't take it any longer so here is a small update that is a bit more Peppy-Peggy.

Mid last week I received an email from an old coworker with news of a possible job prospect! I was really excited to hear from her and about the potential new job. I immediately sent over my resume and I interviewed for it on Friday. I think it went really well and I hope to hear back from them sometime this upcoming week! The job and the environment sound fabulous and I know I could do it really really well. So I am hopeful! If I hear back with good news I will do another post with more detail. I really want to begin working again. I am ready and my finances are really starting to blow up, so I need to get things back in order.

My ears are still feeling pretty great. I've been on the diuretic for about two weeks now and so far so good. Yay! I woke up this morning with a sore throat though so I hope I'm not getting a cold or something. I guess we'll see tomorrow.

I'm going to see The Book of Eli this week! I'm pretty excited because one: my date is really fun and two: it's Denzel, whom I love. I've ran out of shows and movies to watch at home, so I started FRIENDS again for the millionth time. I just love Ross & Rachel. I still remember watching the series finale on my parents couch. I balled my eyes out. I am so happy they ended the show with them together! I would have been pissed if they weren't!

Let's see what else to update. My nephew is still the cutest thing EVA! See?

Lastly, the Jeep is falling apart. It needs four new tires (two at the very least), new windshield wipers, a new back brake light, a new drivers inside door handle, and now it's making some noise when I turn. So that really sucks, but I'll deal I guess.

There's my update! Cross your fingers and toes that I'll have good news to report on the job-front sometime this week! Happy Sunday bloggy friends and stalkers.

The Lovely Bones

I'm so excited to see this movie! I really liked this book and lets face it, I like anything with Mark Wahlberg. He is YU-UM. In fact, I think I'll watch Three Kings now. And then maybe Shooter.

Movies

I have a severe case of blogger's block and boredom! I've got nothing going on so I don't really have anything to blog about. Being unemployed blows. I never know what day of the week it is, because every day is the same. It's all just a blur of watching movies, eating, and sleeping. I have watched sooo many movies and TV shows it's sad. And clearly you can tell how bored I am by the fact that I even took the time to put this post together with all the links. Yes, I actually linked each and every one of them, just in case you feel like seeing the trailers. Ugh.

Here's what I have watched since end of September:

After I look through the list it's like I watch one movie and then the next one usually has at least one of the same actors as the previous movie. It's like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon-ish!
